De La Salle High School Project

Water Penetration Testing in Portland

QED Lab performed water penetration testing at De La Salle North Catholic High School as part of the school’s major campus expansion and renovation project in Portland. The work included a 21,500-square-foot addition featuring a new commons area, restrooms, gym, locker and fitness rooms, and a front office. In addition, the project included upgrades to the existing building, adding 5,000 square feet of new science classrooms, 30,000 square feet of remodeled learning spaces, and a new parking lot to support the growing student body and staff.

Our testing focused on verifying the building envelope’s water resistance and overall performance, ensuring the new and renovated portions of the school met durability and quality standards. Through detailed on-site evaluations, QED Lab helped confirm that De La Salle North Catholic High School’s updated facilities are built to perform efficiently and withstand the Pacific Northwest’s demanding weather conditions, providing a safe and long-lasting environment for students and educators.
