QED LAB is an independent AAMA/FGIA-accredited laboratory and field testing agency. We perform testing of windows, doors, skylights, curtain walls, storefronts, and related fenestration products and components in accordance with applicable AAMA/FGIA, ASTM, and NAFS requirements.
Our accredited field services include air leakage and water penetration testing of installed fenestration products, storefronts, curtain walls, and their interfaces with surrounding construction. For manufacturers, QED LAB performs accredited air leakage, water penetration, structural performance, operating, durability, forced-entry, thermal, and other applicable laboratory testing used to support product evaluation and the AAMA air-water-structural certification process. Testing may be performed at QED LAB or witnessed at qualified manufacturer facilities when permitted by the applicable certification and accreditation requirements.

Our experienced teams provide complete test planning, building preparation, equipment setup, testing, diagnostics, documentation, and reporting for commercial, residential, institutional, industrial, and government buildings of every size.
QED LAB performs the building preparation, temporary isolations, and specialized test setup required for whole-building air leakage testing. This eliminates the need for contractors to hire and coordinate a separate preparation company—simplifying the testing process and often saving the project thousands of dollars.

QED LAB provides professional building enclosure infrared thermography performed by an Infrared Training Center (ITC) Level II Certified Thermographer. This nondestructive technology helps identify and document thermal anomalies associated with air leakage, moisture intrusion, missing or damaged insulation, thermal bridging, and other concealed building enclosure conditions.
Infrared thermography may be performed independently or in combination with whole-building air leakage testing, controlled pressure testing, moisture measurements, and other diagnostic methods. QED LAB evaluates the complete conditions surrounding each thermal pattern and provides clear thermal images, analysis, and documented findings to help identify potential deficiencies and guide further investigation or repairs.
