First Light Project in Seattle
First Light Project in Seattle
QED Lab is on-site in Seattle, Washington, performing water penetration testing at the stunning First Light project. Our work focuses on verifying the performance of the building’s window and curtain wall systems to ensure they meet stringent standards for water resistance and long-term durability. We’re joined on-site by Claire Dougherty with Build Group, Inc., who recently moderated a panel for Women in Construction Week—a great reminder of the leadership and collaboration driving progress in our industry.
First Light is one of three major developments by Westbank Corp in Seattle, alongside Museum House (707 Terry) and WB1200 (1200 Stewart). Designed with architectural excellence and sustainability in mind, these projects are helping shape Seattle’s modern skyline. QED Lab is proud to play a role in ensuring that each system at First Light performs as designed—delivering a high-quality, weather-tight building envelope built to thrive in the Pacific Northwest’s challenging climate.
