Mahonia Crossing: Phase II project in Salem, OR

AAMA Testing in Oregon

QED Lab performed field testing in full compliance with AAMA 502 in Salem at the Mahonia Crossing: Phase II project. This phase adds 129 new residential units to the existing 184-unit Mahonia Crossing community, expanding affordable housing options for local families. Our testing focuses on verifying the performance of installed fenestration systems, ensuring that windows and doors meet AAMA 502 standards for water penetration and air infiltration resistance. By performing these tests under real field conditions, QED Lab helps confirm that the building envelope performs as designed—supporting long-term energy efficiency, comfort, and durability.

This important community development, led by Community Development Partners, Urban Resources, Gerding Builders, and Scott Edwards Architecture, integrates quality housing with shared amenities such as a community center, fitness rooms, a children’s play structure, and BBQ and picnic areas. Through our comprehensive testing and verification, QED Lab is proud to contribute to Mahonia Crossing’s mission of delivering safe, sustainable, and high-performing homes for Salem residents.
