Army Corps Analysis

US Army Corps of Engineers & Department of Defense Testing Services

At QED LAB, we provide full-scope building envelope testing services that meet the stringent requirements of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). Our work includes specialized testing and consultation services on government and military projects throughout California, Washington, Oregon, and Montana. We understand the unique demands of military construction, where precision, compliance, and security are non-negotiable.

Our testing process follows strict USACE requirements, including whole building air leakage testing with 12 pressure points between 25 Pa and 75 Pa, 12 baseline readings, and an infrared thermography scan under pressure. QED LAB ensures compliance with ASTM E779, and we maintain specific equipment calibration standards to deliver accurate, defensible results. Unlike many providers, we combine these services under one roof. QED LAB is a certified blower door testing agency, and our technicians are Level II certified thermographers. That means project teams don’t need to contract with two different companies; we provide both testing and thermography to satisfy the entire scope.

Beyond air leakage testing, QED LAB also provides detailed window and façade testing to verify performance against water infiltration, air leakage, and structural load standards. We conduct comprehensive plan reviews to identify potential compliance issues before construction begins, helping to prevent costly redesigns or delays. In addition, our pre-testing services allow teams to evaluate system performance prior to final commissioning, providing critical feedback for adjustments before the project is complete.

With proven qualifications, advanced testing equipment, and extensive experience in government and defense projects, QED LAB is a trusted partner for delivering reliable, compliant results. Whether the project involves new construction, retrofits, or specialized secure facilities, our team works closely with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure that every building envelope meets the rigorous standards required for mission-critical success.
